Every blog post has one of three purposes: - Informative and factual: designed to provide knowledge and context about a topic - Informative but entertaining: designed to tell a story or teach a lesson in an interesting way - Commercial: designed to sell or otherwise promote something. One of the biggest reasons to share a blog post is because it contains valuable information for your audience. If you think something someone wrote will help your followers figure out how to solve a problem, make more money, or enjoy life more; you should share it. This is usually pretty easy as long as the article is informative and useful (not all blogs are useful). The second biggest reason to share a blog post is if it gives you a new perspective on something that you previously thought was right or wrong. In this case, The Huffington Post has a brilliant strategy for getting people who see their headlines to dig into the articles they link to. #5. What type of articles should I share? You should share articles that are written intelligently, list multiple sources, have interesting titles, and have relevant images. If an article has all of these things then you are generally safe to assume it is a good article. If you are not sure if something is a good blog post to share just ask yourself "Would I want to read this if it wasn't linked from someone else?" If the answer is yes then proceed with sharing. Do this for every URL when you come across one in the future and you will always be reading high quality stuff. #6. How do I find blogs to follow? The best way to find new blogs is through search engines such as Google or Bing. The reason why I like using search engines is that they are designed to find things for you. Search for "How to" or "top" and you'll get tons of results, but it also finds the closest thing to what you typed. For example, if you type "how to make money online" both the first ten links and the last five links will be about how to make money online (assuming they are related). If instead you type "how to make money on the internet" then only five of the first ten links will be related, but the last three are definitely related because they are all about making money on the internet.
